We can now deactivate the immobiliser on most Renaults built between 1994 & 2001.
(Any Renault model fitted with Single-Data-Wire Coded Immobiliser before the introduction of CAN.)
To carry out the work we require the immobiliser box and the Engine ECU sent to us by recorded delivery.
We can then decode the ECU and supply a code generator for the immobiliser which will enable the vehicle to start using a standard key.
Once we have carried out the work we will return the items again by recorded delivery, for your security.
Our procedure will deactivate your immobiliser permanently.
All work will be completed within 24hrs of receiving the units.
If you are unsure of your ability to identify and remove the required components we offer a removal and fitting service at extra cost. This will require us to attend the vehicle twice, once to remove and once to refit, as the decode procedure can take up to 12 hours to complete, so it is not practical to carry out at the roadside in one visit.
Once we have deactivated the troublesome Renault Immobiliser we recommend that you have an aftermarket, Thatcham Approved, Cat 2 Immobiliser fitted to your vehicle that meets your insurance requirements or inform you insurance company that the original system has been deactivated.
